All Species Parade 2017
Saturday, September 16 at 1pm on the Arcata Plaza
Join us at the 44th North Country Fair, Saturday and Sunday September 16 & 17. This year, the All Species Parade will be on Saturday September 16; the same day as Coastal Cleanup Day! This is a change from prior years, so mark your calendars now!
Participate in the Parade:
Music and Dance to keep the spirit of biodiversity alive!
To participate in this year's parade, meet in the Tri-Counties bank parking lot at 12:30pm on Saturday, September 16. Bring a costume, mask, make-up, sign, banner, or some other way to celebrate! Bring friends, family, or co-workers. Local groups can match in the same species to represent their organization.
NEC staff will be present to help organize parade participants and at 1pm Bandemonium will lead the parade in a march around the Arcata Plaza!
Mask-Making and Creature-Making Workshops
A free workshop will be held before the parade to make masks and costumes! Friday, September 8, 6-8pm, join us at the Sanctuary (1301 J St, Arcata) to make your mask, costume or sign! Some supplies will be provided, but if you have supplies specific to what you want to make, please bring them!
Join the NEC after the North Country Fair on Saturday to celebrate all species and show off your creature costumes! 6-8pm. Location and additional details will be posted here when available, so stay tuned!
